ARE YOU ENCOURAGING SERFDOM?

When one wonders why the Founders abhorred democracy as a type of government, one just has to look around at what America has become.  America is now deeply divided in the philosophy of government because of the constant dwelling on democracy as being the end all in maintaining liberty.  Actually, a democracy brings about the tyranny of the majority over the minority, which is exactly the opposite of the reason the Constitution was written as it was.  It was written to be a control on the people in government so that they would not be able to restrict the liberty of the individual.  It was written to bind the people in government to the limited powers that were enumerated in Article 1, Section 8.  If We the People had held the people in government to these limitations, we would still be a Free country. But, no, by democratic vote the majority have chosen to be subjects of the 545 people who control government (435 representatives, 100 senators, 9 supreme court justices, 1 president) and who have succeeded is manipulating the populace by buying their votes with programs that oppress millions of citizens and quite often harm the portion of people who voted for the tyrant.  Ruining Freedom with the money taken from those whose Freedom is being ruined is idiotic for a free country.

Using the election of 2008 as an example (without unfairly picking on it as the only bad example) the 16 months of the administration has been a battlefield in Washington.  That in itself shows how much many of the people in America are against theft of Freedom. Although the administration will disingenuously badmouth the opposition as just being political obstructionist, the opposition actually has legitimate, honest, sincere reasons to oppose.  Their opposition is based on the Founders plan to fight every assault on Freedom that anyone in government tries to enforce.  For anyone in the administration or any supporter of the administration to make up stories to denigrate the opposition is not being truthful and they know it.  So this shows the dishonesty that is so rampant in politics.  We the people allow these people to be dishonest and even encourage them to be dishonest by joining in on the many misrepresentations.  Americans are not the virtuous people that the Founders said were needed to keep a free country.

Freedom breeds responsibility,  Freedom teaches responsibility,  Freedom is responsibility.  Those who support government's assault on Freedom are the aggressors who are bringing ruin to America.  Many feel they are doing good for some minority, but in doing a perceived good for some at the expense of others is immoral, which is a much greater sin than doing nothing.  Those who fight against this tyranny are not bad, nor are they against helping someone in need.  They are against the tyranny that is used, in the name of good.  That is similar to a leader of a theft ring feeding the poor with funds stolen from the average American.  Is he a good guy or a bad guy.  Honesty says he is a thief. When a group of people want to feed the poor with funds taken from the average American, are they good or are they bad.  It is still stolen (taken by force).  Is theft ok if by a majority? Democracy seems to salve consciences to theft.  Democracy is a means of increasing tyranny as the majority greedily reach for the assets of the minority.  There is no end to this type of tyranny as long as the majority lacks morality and can be manipulated by bribery to keep the tyrants in power.  The important thing to remember is that tyrants are tyrants and will turn on their supporters when it furthers the tyrant's personal agenda.  The current administration has been very adept, as was Roosevelt and Johnson and others, at using its supporters without clearly stating its ultimate agenda.  Never trust a politician.

Serfdom, in history, has usually been achieved by military victories.  In the modern democratic (so called) countries it comes about voluntarily.  The skills of charismatic usurpers of power have succeeded in enslaving masses of people by bribery, threats, lies, misleadings, misrepresentations and a number of other dishonest and immoral actions. This has also happened in America while being lulled into thinking democracy protects. Not true.  Democracy has shown itself to be exactly what the Founders feared, the tyranny of the majority.  No government is safe for Freedom.  It is up to the people, by force, to protect their Freedom.  Government people always use violent force.  A free people must use non-violent force to regain lost Freedom.  It takes the FOCUS ON FREEDOM with laser like vision to gain victory over tyranny, especially non-violent victory.  To Win the War on Washington, non-violently, will teach the real lesson of what real liberty is.

It is probably fair to say that every American has a different vision of what Freedom is.  The variety of desires of what government should do are so numerous it should make it very clear that none of the desires should become law, because it is almost impossible to stop these tyrannies once the door is opened to them.  Be it the war on drugs, poverty, discrimination, sexual harassment, guns, health care, corporations, lobbyists, minimum wage, eight hour work day, cap and trade, illegal immigration, education, commerce laws, welfare, etc. etc. etc., they are all very divisive, even for patriots.  This is where the FOCUS ON FREEDOM is of critical importance.  It is the one universal desire of all humans, at least for their own person.  Common courtesy should allow every individual the same.  If all are not free, none are free.  Taking one's freedom is the beginning of the road to serfdom for all.

The universal argument against every potential assault on Freedom (a law) is to FOCUS ON FREEDOM.  It is very difficult for any to argue against Freedom for all, equally.  Rather than discuss any legislation on any issue one can turn the discussion in the direction of 1) first, do no harm 2) the lack of power given the Federal government in the Constitution, and 3) the Freedom that will suffer from the legislation.  The perceived good that the aggressive party sees is a short sighted illusion.  Nothing is worth the loss of Freedom.  The FOCUS ON FREEDOM will avoid being part of those who encourage serfdom.
