Truth has become an unexpected phenomenon when listening to government people no matter whether they are elected officials, agency heads or any other bureaucrat. This truth is a sad, sad situation, when the citizenry can be lied to, day after day, on almost any subject regardless of its importance or relevancy. Lying is pervasive throughout government people. If those are not high crimes or misdemeanors, what is? The Founders stated clearly that to have Freedom, virtue is the critical ingredient. For government people to be the most consistent and flagrant abusers of truth and virtue shows the quality and level of morals that reign in Washington D.C. This is not new. It has been going on, probably from the beginning. An even sadder issue is the fact that the American people have accepted, encouraged and repeatedly voted for this low set of morals and virtue in their leadership. There is no demand for honesty nor punishment for dishonesty. The punishment for dishonesty should be immediate firing or impeachment and not waiting until the next election, that most likely will re-elect the tyrant, as in the cases of Roosevelt, Johnson and Obama, to name three.
Dishonesty, regarding politics, is also pervasive among the American people. They know, or should know because there is so much attention brought forward that the 545 tyrants in power are lying to them. If there are some who do not believe that, they are either not paying attention or are lying to themselves or they believe in lying for the greater good. All three are serious faults in virtue. It seems that all sides of any issue are misleading and/or bending the truth. This is not virtue and makes the dishonesty acceptable. There cannot be Freedom with dishonesty, just as there cannot be Freedom with an income tax. Because there is so much dishonesty in government people the American citizen rarely gets the correct information and cannot make good judgements, even if they choose to do so. Due to the lying they have no idea if they are Free or serfs. Actually, they are serfs producing for the good of the 545 tyrants in Washington D.C. For those who are sensitive to the use of the word tyrant, a dictionary states that a tyrant is one who has usurped power and ruled illegally, one (or a group) who oppresses the citizens. A huge majority of government people fall into this category. Is there any question that the people in government lie, cheat, steal, and kill. Some examples of these offenses are illegal IRS actions, CIA, FBI, surveillance, Benghazi, Healthcare, Assassinations by drones etc., EPA, DEA, Military industrial complex, Social Security, plus hundreds of other scams.
Hunger for truth. Truth will lead to Freedom. Without truth there is no Freedom. Dishonesty will not only continue the serfdom but will encourage the tyrants to become more evil than they already are. Look at the difference in evil between now and 50 years ago. Starting today the American people must demand honesty in the people they hire to protect their Freedom, otherwise the people they hire will turn the tables and become their worst enemy and masters, as has happened in America. The government people who cannot always speak the truth must be fired. The lying about Freedom has brought about the loss of Freedom. It will take the FOCUS ON FREEDOM, ABSOLUTE FREEDOM and absolute honesty to turn this untruthful country around.
