Taking Responsibility

Americans, as a people, do not take responsibility for the failure to keep the government in the bind of Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. Instead of being addicted to Freedom, which was our assignment by our founding Fathers, Americans have allowed themselves to become addicted to government, exactly contrary to our legacy. The mess in which the country finds itself is the fault of the people. The founders gave us the tools but we have been very poor overseers and have not used the tools to maintain the Freedom of every individual.

Like any addict, until one admits that he or she is an addict there will be no repair of the damage that has been caused by one’s foolishness and negligence. As long as they can point to some one else to blame it seems to salve their consciences of the evil that comes from the programs they have supported. They are ignoring reality. Any of the following are fair game for the blame game.

Etc

All of this makes interesting conversation but it is all nonsense. This is our country we are frivolously toying with. This is our Freedom. The blame for what happens in government lies in our court, the American people. Democracy was rejected as a form of government because of the tyranny of the majority over the minority. In fact, John Adams says that all democracies in history have committed suicide. It is unsustainable as a Freedom preserver. We the people are responsible for the mess in which American finds itself. We are blaming others for our failure. Face it. It is the Freedom that America has enjoyed that has made it as successful as it is, however, the success and Freedom both can disappear very quickly as has been shown during the past ten years. If all Americans were honestly in favor of Freedom, America would be Free, now.

Somewhere between 50% and 70% of Americans are on the government dole of one type or another and it is killing our Freedom. It must be stopped immediately, not in 2014 or during the next 10 years. We won’t last that long. Just look at the weaklings that were just sent to Washington to fix it. However, even fixing the costs of government is setting the bar too low. The main issue is the Freedom of every American. Until that is again achieved America will continue to flounder in this mess. If all are not free, none are free. It is up to each of us to see that our friends, neighbors and families are Free in order for us to be Free. We must face the issue squarely and honestly. The issue is Freedom. It takes the FOCUS ON FREEDOM, every day in every action and in every relationship to stay Free.

Americans are not facing up to their responsibilities nor are they facing up to reality. The reality is that America is in a civil war. Those who want some level of Freedom try to protect themselves against the aggressors who want to take some of that Freedom, a little at a time, and put their lives in the hands of the government. That is neighbor against neighbor, family against family, friend against friend. By ignoring this fact the Freedom loving people have allowed the aggressors to invade every facet of their lives to the point that Americans are now completely at the mercy of the government. The government can decide to take any amount of one’s earnings, control everyone’s bodies in health care, close businesses when they choose, tell restaurants what to feed people, etc, etc. The government may not, yet, do this to the extreme but it has certainly put Americans on notice that it can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants. That is what England told the colonies and that resulted in the revolutionary war.

Even though it is hard to admit, this is a War, a non-violent war. It is a war between members of this American family. Freedom is a neutral position. When all are Free issues get worked out in a personal manner. It is only when a group of people talk the government into using their power and their violence and their guns to force their will on the Free people that upsets the lives of the millions and reduces America to be like one of the many totalitarian run countries. The people taking the Freedom of others are the aggressors and should be treated as such, by stopping their every move to take any insignificant amount of Freedom because it leads to what we have now, dependency. Dependency on government, which is a form of slavery, or serfdom, is the opposite of Freedom. Once the sickness of dependency on government sets in and the takers out number the Freedom seekers, democracy commits suicide. We can’t let this happen to America. It must be stopped at any cost. Now is the time for every good man to come to the aid of his country, and lift every burden of government off of every individual. By the FOCUS ON FREEDOM this War on Washington and against our families and friends can be won. But, it will take millions of patriots storming Washington to put fear into the usurpers that they had better FOCUS ON FREEDOM, or ....

Join the Tea Party Movement and become part of a glorious history when America stages it’s second revolution to stop the tyranny of government, just like the first revolution. Politics is personal. To be responsible for one’s policies one must treat politics as if you are the one who is directly forcing your neighbor to do your will. That will be the return of Freedom for all.
