CIVIL WAR-CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
Civil War, when peaceful, describes what politics is; the differences of opinions in government. It is caused by one group trying to put some restriction or burden on another group who are resisting it. On a personal basis this difference of opinion would probably be solved in much more courteous ways. However, when one group goes to the government to use the vicious and violent force of a gun to achieve their desires it is politics, and it is war, and it can lead to violent civil war. Notice that the left says they promote the use of diplomacy in their dealings, however, then notice when they want to deal with their fellow citizens they use the viciousness of the government's gun to force their will on the others.
That creates something beyond a difference of opinion. It shows the problem with democracy, the tyranny of the majority over the minority. Eventually, when the tyranny gets to be more that the minority can put up with, force must meet force, though not necessarily violent force. America has reached this point of "no more" and is beginning to rise up against the tyranny. The Tea Party Movement (TPM) is the result brought about by many years of aggressive attacks against Freedom by both parties since the time of Teddy Roosevelt. The TPM has been a peaceful, courteous and patriotic group of individuals in their effort to stop the tyranny of government. Even though there have been many attempts by the left to lie, mislead and assassinate the characters of the group, they have not succeeded in breaking the will of the people. Their ability to ignore this negative activity by the left shows the strength and backbone of the individuals in the Movement. It is the steadfastness, the consistency and the numbers of these individuals that will bring the rest of the country to realize how important it is to FOCUS ON FREEDOM and not the many issues that politicians, including the President, use to divide America.
The massive TPM is also showing that Politics is Personal. It is showing that these individuals are the victims of the tyranny of their friends, families and neighbors in the voting booth. Americans normally have not been realizing that Politics is Personal when they continually vote for the tyranny that burdens their friends and families. Most likely they do not feel the responsibility for their actions. This is another failure of democracy. It distances the actions of the voter from the consequences of the vote. They can always blame the politicians, or the corporations or the lobbyists. Responsible voting is the key to keeping or losing Freedom. Education on the principles of Freedom and the limitations placed on the Federal Government is essential to the success of "the American experiment;" the first Free people on the face of the earth.
Americans must come to realize that this is a civil war that will decide whose Freedom will be saved and whose Freedom will be lost. Actually, everyone's Freedom is lost to one extent or another. If all are not free, none are free. The stakes are too high to brush it off frivolously as politics as usual or "I don't pay much attention to politics." Everyone, who loves America and enjoys the fruits of the Freedom that has not yet been taken, must come together in the TPM or in other groups to convince everyone they know to FOCUS ON FREEDOM or it will be lost. This is War.
