WEEKLY THOUGHTS:

In a free society the only sovereignty that makes sense and is legitimate is the sovereignty of each individual to pursue his or her economic and personal choices -- provided the equal rights of others are not violated.

DEPENDENCY-

THE EVIL THAT RESULTS IN SERFDOM

Government, by definition, is only force, that can be used for good or for evil. Whether being used by politicians or by voters, the result is the same, one faction creating a control over another faction. The Constitution was not written and ratified for this outcome. It was written for the protection of the Freedom of each individual. It was written to control government. It was not written to control the people. This is a very plain and simple concept. But, the concept has been corrupted by the voters to allow one group of people to control another group by the use of the tyranny of the majority over the minority. And furthermore, these groups are constantly changing from tyrants to victims of tyranny. The people say they want Freedom one day and then want to take someone's Freedom the next. This election of 2 November 2010 has again clarified this picture. Almost all Americans want to be dependent on government in one way or another, whereas the people at the time of the American Revolution wanted government to be irrelevant in their lives. They wanted Freedom from government. They revolted against a government, they called tyrants, who did not exert one hundredth of the control with which the average American is now burdened. America is now suffering with government addiction, a dependency that is squeezing the life out of the greatest success in the history of mankind.

Just as with drug addiction Americans have unconsciously allowed themselves to be caught in the web of dependency on government. When one feels the need to go to government for help, that person is definitely addicted, and it will ruin, not only his or her life but also the lives of their friends, families and strangers. As an addict supports his supplier by becoming more and more dependent on him, supporters of government become more dependent on it. And the people in government learn how to manipulate the addict, not to the addicts benefit but to the benefit of themselves.

Every issue in life can be dealt with in several different ways. When one goes to the government, to use its vicious force, one is dependent on government. Another avenue could have been taken that would not use this force and would not attack the Freedom of individuals. Government is a drug. Once it is allowed into the mix it is extremely hard to stop. Freedom means choice by the individual. Government is force, and it has the weapons. The individual is defenseless against it.
