WEEKLY THOUGHTS:

Time is running out for the United States and other Western democracies.  Freedom and equality cannot coexist.  We have tried and, like others before us who attempted it, the results have been disastrous.  It is time for you and me to decide how badly we want the free lunch.  If we continue to pursue it, then we cannot expect to live in a free society.

FREEDOM WORKS-BECAUSE IT’S RIGHT

Around the world and especially among the more civilized areas of humanity, men and women either know instinctively, are taught at a very early age or learn by their dealings with others, the difference between right and wrong. It is something so basic and so expected in dealing with people on a personal basis that we don’t even stop and think about it. It’s automatic. It’s courtesy. It’s being human. It’s simple. It avoids conflict. It makes life more enjoyable. It’s right. When used as a way of life, it keeps the peace.

Knowing what is right does not mean that there are not differences of opinion or desires because in Freedom everyone has the right to think and speak freely. But it does mean that these differences should not be solved coercively. We know that the use of force is (always) wrong except in the case of defense.

Freedom works because it is right and because it does not use force. Except in defense of one’s property or person, which is the most important property, freedom finds other ways of accomplishing desires, by persuasion and volunteerism. There will always be differences between people and their ideas, but by keeping freedom in the forefront of people’s minds and keeping it as the basic law of the land, conflict and the use of force will be forestalled, if not eliminated.

It is wrong for any individual or group of individuals to force their demands on others. And it is just as wrong for Federal Government people to interfere in the activities of free people.

To believe that any type of Federal control over the pure freedom of the citizens will help the human existence is dreaming. It is not only dreaming, it is un-Constitutional. This does not mean that it is acceptable for people to do bad things to other people. Those people will be tracked down and punished as often or probably more often than they are now under the current non-Federal Government methods. Keep in mind that in the Constitution the Federal Government was not assigned the task of policing crime, therefore crime is not and should not be a consideration when discussing the Federal Government. Also, the Federal Government was not assigned the task of creating criminals of citizens by making un-Constitutional laws.

Pure Freedom or absolute Freedom is a very simple concept to understand and to live by. At first it may have a negative knee jerk fear, but on a more thorough consideration, at its worst it works better than any other system. And, it is the only moral system. The ultimate dream of most humans is to live free. The secret of coming as close to that status as possible is to allow everyone else to live free. If all are not free, none are free. There will always be some level of evil and no system can eliminate it. The best that can be expected, which is the only justifiable reason for government, is to try to protect the Freedom of every individual, equally.

Absolute Freedom does not relieve one of the responsibility for his or her actions. In fact it breeds responsibility because there is nothing to hide behind, such as arbitrary laws, or lack of law, or dependencies, etc. It makes everyone aware that he or she is responsible not only for his or her actions, but also, to not tread on others’ freedom.

Freedom is elegant in its simplicity, its humanity, its morality, its fairness, its openness, its clarity and its ease of understanding. FOCUS ON FREEDOM, because it is right.
