WEEKLY THOUGHTS:

Whereas it is commonplace today to think of law as nothing more than the will of a legislator, such thought has been mightily resisted by great thinkers each time it has emerged throughout history. Such resistance is perhaps nowhere more eloquently displayed than by Sophocles’ female heroine Antigone, who refuses to obey her king’s edict against burying her brother, asserting that such an edict, which is contrary to morality and custom, cannot possibly be law, and therefore cannot be obeyed.

It is not only under Nazi rule that police excesses are inimical to freedom. It is easy to make light of insistence on scrupulous regard for the safeguards of civil liberties when invoked on behalf of the unworthy. It is too easy. History bears testimony that by such disregard are the rights of liberty extinguished, heedlessly at first, the stealthily, and brazenly in the end.

Government Lies

There may be a few Americans that do not believe that the government people lie to them, but that has to be an extremely small few. There are many who don’t seem to care, unless it is the opposing philosophy. Almost daily there are verifiable lies coming out of the mouths of our elected officials. That is criminal and grounds for impeachment. The Constitution states in Article II, Section 4: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for and conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. Lying to the people certainly falls under the description of "high Crimes and Misdemeanors." When under oath the courts call it perjury, and thereby can fine and imprison the guilty party. The civil Officers of the United States are under oath upon entering the government service. There should be no question that lying is an impeachable event. How can anyone be trusted with the business of the nation when he or she is constantly lying? Since previous Officers of the United States are beyond Impeachment their deeds are not on this list of events but that does not relieve them of guilt. The following are some more recent events where lying is verifiable and impeachable.

  • Benghazi

Denying when Reporting and discussing events: Obama, Clinton, Rice, others,

  • IRS scandal

Denying when Reporting and discussing events: Obama, IRS personnel, others,

  • Surveillance

Denying when Reporting and discussing spying: Obama, Clapper, others

  • Healthcare laws

Denying truths in the legislation when Discussing the law prior to and after passage: Obama, Congressmen,

  • Oath of Office

Lying when taking the oath or breaking the oath afterwards: Obama, Congressmen,

  • Drone killings

Lying about doing it until caught at it: Obama, others

  • Budgets and deficits

Projected costs and benefits were untrue: Obama, Congressmen, others

  • Rule of Law

Continual race baiting: Obama,

Americans are treated equally: Obama, Congressmen,

  • Bypassing Congress

Dishonestly ignoring the will of Congress: Obama, Holder,

  • Congress in Recess

Stating there was a recess when there was not and appointing a position: Obama

  • Following the Constitution

Constantly goes around the Constitution: Obama lied in his oath.

  • Getting America into wars, police actions, defensive attacks, etc.

Lies are prevalent to convince Americans to die: Obama, Congress

They don’t die for their country, they really die to preserve the government.

There really is not any need for a longer list of lies. It would take volumes. These should be enough to impeach the President as well as quite a few Congressmen.

Maybe we will all be reminded of what we knew all along. Government people lie. Government people cheat and government people steal, taking from the public by force and deception. Everyone should have known that since the beginning of governments, but at least for the past 3,000 years. We probably will never know whether or not government people are already scammers before they enter office or whether they become scammers after entering office, but it does not make much difference. The pattern is inevitable. Governments may begin with one perceived benefit, (probably based on some lies) which is usually the protection of the Freedom of the citizenry (the only justifiable reason for government), but they immediately turn into a scam. All of the individual politicians may not be scammers all of the time but as a group they are always scammers. They justify the scamming because the are doing the will of some of the public (that’s buying their votes). Immediate is the proper word when looking at their history (even in America’s first Congress) of attacking the Freedom of the citizens in order to do some perceived good for some other citizens. The frequency may change but the pattern never changes.

However there could be a major change if the House and the Senate (or another trustworthy group) were forced to impeach the government people who lie to the American People. After a few impeachments people who go into politics will soon learn that their political life will be cut short if they lie. There needs to be a faster more efficient means of impeaching to get the guilty parties out quickly. Neither the Senate nor the House can be trusted to be honest with the process. If the evidence is there the process should be completed in a couple of months, and probably needs to be done by Citizens, rather than the Senate and the House.

ABSOLUTE FREEDOM may not cure everything but it will be much more consistent, efficient, fair, honest and less vicious. FOCUS ON FREEDOM, ABSOLUTE FREEDOM.
