A SAD BUT TELLING STORY

It is a sad but very telling story when, of the remaining 4 GOP contenders, the only one who is fighting the fight of the Founders and the colonists is getting the least number of votes in the primaries. Clearly the dream of America, the ideal of America, and the hope of America was Freedom during the years of the colonists working and striving to be independent of an overpowering and dominating government and parliament. Everything the colonists, those who wanted liberty and independence, fought for is not even the main discussion in the debates that have been held. The entire discussions should be on Freedom since the protection of the individual’s Freedom is the only reason to have a government. What other reason is there? Certainly not to put a group of arrogant people into office so that they can manipulate, extort our earnings and dominate the everyday lives of the people who put them into office. Certainly not to use the government guns to take the hard earned wealth of those who have been high achievers. Certainly not to use the government guns to stop fellow citizens from doing things that are perceived to only harm themselves. Certainly not to attempt to force the people in other nations to conform to America’s type of government. Certainly not to do the bidding of giant Corporations or other groups in forcing other nations to conform to our demands on trade or production. Certainly not to take property rights away from fellow citizens. Certainly not to muzzle fellow citizen’s ideas that are different from our own. Certainly not to support a dominant religion. Our Country was founded on one dominant principle. That principle is Freedom, the single issue of Freedom. The Freedom of every individual, not only in America, but in every other land on earth. America was the example, the pattern, the ideal to show the world how good life can be when Freedom reigns, and that when the FOCUS ON FREEDOM is maintained peace and Freedom will be maintained. Any chink in the armor of Freedom, like a cancer can kill the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of the individual. The success or failure of individuals and countries rests in the hands of the individuals who live in those countries.

It is the successes of libertarian thinking that has brought on the successes of America and of the many other countries and peoples who have been able to follow their personal dreams rather than the dreams of their governments or other organizations who want to control whomever will submit to their control. It is a very sad experience to watch good people denigrate and ridicule people who espouse the same principles as the Founders. The reasoning here is difficult to grasp.

Good people seem to be caught up in the subordinate issues, subordinate to Freedom that is, that come along from time to time and distract from the FOCUS ON FREEDOM which is all that it takes to make life a heaven on earth. Freedom from government is the goal that can be reached, but only by maintaining the FOCUS ON FREEDOM.

Every American knows that, on a personal basis, that stepping on another’s toes is not an acceptable policy in maintaining peace with that person. The same simple truth is true in dealing with strangers in America or in other countries. Basic morals are important. When they are broken bad things happen. The state of America is a sad and telling story of the individuals in America. Americans must look in the mirror and honestly accept that America has done bad things in the past but promise yourself that you will not be a part of any future wrong doings, whether here or abroad. Start now. Do not support bad actions. Do not consent to bad actions.
