COMMON SENSE IS NOT SO COMMON
COMMON SENSE says that all types of governments are forceful controllers of the citizens. Also, common sense says that government is just a word. It is just an entity. It is not a being. An entity can't do anything. It must have human beings working within it. Human beings, being the way they are, are always susceptible to corruption, greed, emotional decisions, mistakes etc, etc. COMMON SENSE says no government is trustworthy, at least not for long because politicians (being people) are always looking out for themselves first, then family, their donors, then friends or something similar to that. Notice citizens have not shown up as a priority on the list yet. The good of the country also has not shown up. There are extremely few exceptions, if any, to this in Congress. So COMMON SENSE says, to be safe, never, never, never trust government, nor politicians, because they are the doers whereas government is not. The next thing to be safe is not to trust the citizens of America with your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness because they too will abuse the power, such is democracy, the tyranny of the majority over the minority. With that in mind comes the question, do we need government? For the vast majority of us, the answer is no. We can take care of ourselves. We are independent. We think. We act. We do what we think is best for ourselves and for our families. And we try to do these things without harming anyone. The reason we don't want to harm anyone is because we are a social (though independent) animal who wants the companionship and sometimes help of other people. This help may be in building a house or in protection from the few abnormal people who may do us harm. These are selfish motivations but they are not harmful. So far we don't need government. We get a group together to catch a thief (a posse of sorts). We organize a few people to help judge the guilt, the crime and the punishment. If guilty, we build a jail, select someone as jailer and ask for volunteer donations to pay him. It may even be a part time job. Because we are human and caring, we make sure the prisoner is fed and cared for. Not until there is enough crime is a full time jailer hired. A Town council selected by the people would meet on an as needed basis. All of this is voluntary as there is not much time required and only when needed are meetings called. COMMON SENSE or common economic sense says that people should only be hired when the need is there. COMMON SENSE also says that a real need, not a perceived need is the only time that the people should have to donate funds. There is still no need for government. There is no need for force against the people. There will always be freeloaders, as there are now. People who won't or can't do their part to help their neighbors or themselves. It is this that brings out the perceived need to force people to do or pay their "fair" share. There are ways to do this without government. Since government is only force, a decision to form a government means using the force of a gun to accomplish that which can be handled in less violent ways. It may take longer, but to give up Freedom to government is too high a price to pay for something that is not mutually desired among all of the participants. If everyone is not in favor of an action, the action should not be made into law. This is contrary to democracy, where the majority rules over the minority, a process that is not in keeping with the spirit of individual Freedom.
COMMON SENSE begins to disappear when some people, who may be good at convincing others, begin collecting a group of people to force the minority to do that which the majority dictates. This is also where Freedom begins to disappear. Whenever the majority thinks they are smarter or have a better idea than Freedom of the individual, they make laws to force their ways on others. This is anti-Freedom against the innocents. This also means that everyone suffers because this government force works against every innocent party. The next time a different majority may bring tyranny of a different type on a different minority. Therefore some of the people are harming some other people all of the time. This is a real tyranny. It is a civil war, continuously battling this crazy idea or that. COMMON SENSE says that stability, in knowing that we are free from the frivolous whims of control minded people, is what allows the individual to grow and do great things. Restrictions (laws) stifle that creativity and lead to constant, non-productive activities, such as, political controversies, fighting people who want to restrict someoness activity. These interventions by some countrymen upon other countrymen can be derailed by the simple FOCUS ON FREEDOM, which is universally desired, but often overlooked when desire to control takes over. Freedom will always be challenged by those who want to direct how we live so COMMON SENSE says to follow the Constitution strictly and narrowly so as not to hinder the individual's life. Laws against the entire American population are not needed to stop wrong doing, or harming of people. It's the bad guy that needs to be addressed, not the innocents. COMMON SENSE says this can be accomplished by repealing all of the anti-Freedom laws that currently burden America. The majority of Federal laws on the books are a usurpation of power by congressmen and women. The people of America gave limited the powers of the Federal government for good reason, because it can and has become a tyranny. FOCUS ON FREEDOM and let COMMON SENSE rid America of this scourge. The Tea Parties are the soundest, most powerful since the peaceful civil rights movement in the 1960's. Million of people acting as individuals fighting for their individual Freedom is a much more powerful force that a political party could be. Their ideas may be diverse about some aspects of Freedom but they all know that they want Freedom. The FOCUS ON FREEDOM can be the glue that binds them in this struggle. They can set aside their various differences for the duration of this life or death contest. The FOCUS ON FREEDOM will also bring in many people with other philosophies if the divisive phrases and beliefs are omitted. Pulling in all Americans to FOCUS ON FREEDOM eliminates the argument that these are a peculiar group of fringe thinkers who are not main stream Americans. The Movement needs to have a super majority of citizens in order to force the government back into the Constitution. This is COMMON SENSE.
