FAIRTAX INSTEAD OF INCOME TAX
The rumblings about burdening America with a value added tax are evil in the making. A value added tax is equally and possibly more evil and immoral that the invasive income tax. To continually add hidden taxes (which is what a value added tax is) to the irresponsible income tax is a sign of how vicious and devious the U.S. Congress is. There is no limit to the treachery that the people in Congress and this President will use to plunder the citizens. That is no limit unless they are so afraid of losing their jobs that they will FOCUS ON FREEDOM. Their job, their power, their privileges are the only thing they can see. The Freedom of the citizens in not even on their radar screens. There is absolutely no respect or thought about the reason they are where they are. It will take a hammer to drive it home to them that their job is not to plunder but protection from the plunderers. The sniffing out of the value added tax, as awful as it sounds, may be a golden opportunity to push through the Fairtax as a replacement to the dreaded income tax.
The replacement of the income tax by the FAIRTAX would not only return a portion of Freedom to the people of America by lifting the most immoral, invasive, vicious, and sometimes violent aggression against Freedom that Congress has taken, other than the recent health care fiasco, but it will open the country to an expansion of the economy that is sorely needed at this time. The Fairtax is transparent (no more immoral hidden taxes), easier to administer, easier to collect, much cheaper to collect, creates less class warfare, takes away the single biggest weapon Congress uses on citizens to beat them into submission and gives people the independence of being able to plan their personal lives and their business lives for their best advantage and removes from them the constant fear of the tax man for doing something wrong. It is difficult to come up with another return of Freedom that can compare with the benefits of eliminating the income tax
The Tea Party Movement started as a tax protest, which is a mighty undertaking, and is the same protest that began the first Revolution in America. That tax was a pittance compared to the enormous burden that Americans carry today. The original Tea Party jumped into non-violent action as soon as the colonists realized that their complaints to Parliament were falling on deaf ears, just as our current complaints have fallen on deaf ears, Sam Adams, in a meeting, said "There is nothing more we can do to save the country." Immediately after that the Tea Party, disguised as Indians, boarded the ships carrying the tea and tossed it overboard, being very careful not to harm anyone or do any damage to the ships. From there the movement for Freedom from the tyranny of Parliament and King George took on real life and the rest is history. The current situation with the Congress and the administration is at least a hundred times more egregious than that which burdened the colonists.
A poll that came out today regarding the Tea Parties showed some disturbing beliefs of the members, if it can be verified for accuracy. Some felt that medicare and social security costs by government were worth it and needed government help. Others had confusion in their desires, and that self interest for the government dole trumped lowering taxes. This sends a contradictory message to Congress. So what are the protests about? How do we expect Congress to react to such a message? They will only hear the desires for continued government controlled handouts. This is exactly the opposite message of gaining independence from government. The War on Washington will be lost with such confusion. The FOCUS ON FREEDOM is the only message that will ensure victory from tyranny and it is the only message that truly says what America is intended to be. Any deviation only asks for more of the same type government tyranny that we are now seeing. When you count the millions of people in the country with the varied demands on government, is it any wonder that government is tyrannical because the citizens are tyrannical?
Watching, and being part of the Tea Party support is a joy to behold. Let's take full advantage of this Movement and get it to FOCUS ON FREEDOM. Eliminating the income tax takes away government's most powerful weapon against Freedom. Freedom from government is what the first Tea Party was about and it makes the same sense today that it did in colonial times. The mood in the Republican congress is to repeal and replace the health care bill. That is contrary to the FOCUS ON FREEDOM that we need to turn the country into a real free country, not just hollow words about being free. The Republicans need to be rebuked for their flavor of tyranny.
However the repeal mood is a very good mood to follow up with the elimination of the 16th Amendment, which authorized the income tax. This adds teeth and purpose and definite direction to the Tea Party protests. Without the repeal of the income tax as a goal the protest has no teeth and is too vague and will be disregarded. In addition to the protest parties there needs to be more action taken. Direct pressure on all Republican congressmen to repeal the 16th amendment. Millions of letters and phone calls on their desks will get their attention. The few Democrats that may favor the repeal also need to feel the strength of the repeal drive. The drive must reach all of the front pages of the newspapers in order to get as many citizens in the fight as possible, Democrats, independents, libertarians and more. If the movement will remain leaderless and without party affiliation it has more power than political parties and it is hard to oppose millions and millions of individuals fighting for their individual Freedom, but the message must be clear, simple, consistent and unanimous to succeed. The power of the individual must be regained. For the "enemies of Freedom" to try to oppose millions and millions of individuals with the single purpose of Freedom as their only cause, without other baggage, they would be hard pressed to come up with an acceptable reason for doing so. If they say Freedom is too vague, what do you mean? The answer would be "Freedom from all of the Federal government laws that are not specifically spelled out in the Constitution because they are a usurpation of power (illegal, that is) and Freedom to direct our lives as intended by the Constitution with the FOCUS ON FREEDOM."
