CHILD'S FIRST LESSON-DON'T HIT, DON'T STEAL, DON'T LIE
As simple and as it sounds, These three TRUTHS that we all learned before kindergarten are the basics of ancient people learning to come together, to socialize, to help each other, to communicate with each other, to love each other, to be friends with each other, etc. in order to "get along with each other." We call this being civil to each other, being civilized. The people who did not follow these lessons were probably just as abundant then as they are today. And it makes sense that they were probably thought of by their fellow human beings in the same way then as they are today. There is a certain loss of respect when these basic human traits are ignored. Although now when people interact with each other, directly, these lessons are normally followed because most people do not want to be disliked or even despised. However, these manners, as we call them, are often forgotten in the privacy of the voting booth where one can get the government to force a fellow human being to do something or to suffer the consequences, which can be vicious and violent. Civilized people have always struggled with people who choose not to follow these basics of civilization for whatever reason. Some are actual tyrants, some are nice people who don't think of the unintended consequences of their actions, and some people, in their zeal to do something, good or bad, rationalize that it is OK to harm other people because they think it helps another and some people are just selfish in their thinking. These people are knowingly discriminating about who they help and who they harm because all laws harm millions of innocent people in some way or other.
In a free country when the group of people whose Freedom is being intruded upon reach a point at which they no longer want to tolerate the intolerance of a tyranny, such as happened in the founding of America, and such as that which is happening today in America. the Declaration of Independence instructs that "it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government.." In the current situation in America, in order to preserve Freedom for all, the change must be made quickly and thoroughly as Freedom is about to be lost completely. The differences between then and now are: 1) the goal is not to abolish the government but to keep the government as spelled out clearly in the Constitution, but to remove everyone from office who has a hard time understanding its simplicity. And also to remove anyone who has usurped authority and perpetuated the corruption of it, and to repeal all Federal laws that were not in the power given to Congress clearly in the Constitution and to stop the corruption of the meaning and purpose of the Constitution and, 2) to accomplish this in a peaceful way although there may be some question if the U.S. Government is capable of doing anything without the force of the gun pointed at the citizens.
The most important part of returning America to the Freedom that was promised in the Preamble to the Constitution is for the citizens to remember and follow the instructions given by their parents, that is DON'T HIT (that means do no harm), DON'T STEAL (such as taxes, whether or not by majority vote) and DON'T LIE (especially politicians when doing the people's work). Tom Palmer of the CATO Institute put it something like this "Folks should not harm other folks, and shouldn't take their stuff." If Americans will FOCUS ON FREEDOM and require their representatives to also FOCUS ON FREEDOM this country can again become the free country that existed the day the Constitution was ratified.
